Short and sweet: Great action setpieces. Great effects. Actors all settling into their roles nicely, esp. Simon Pegg as Scotty. Dissapointed in writers for re-hashing, almost word-for-word, scene from previous movie. Next film, please come up with something original. Also, just once, I would like to see a Star Trek movie that stayed away from Earth!

This is the movie I have waited for over 30 years for. Forget nitpicking canon, it was fun and thrilling! This I can't say about any previous installment. This new "crew" of actors is set to take us boldly....
