Avatar is truly a revolutionary film in so far as the experience is concerned. Hollywood has been bleeding ground to independents, bollywooders and pirates faster and faster lately in part because the theatre experience has grown passé even for blockbusters. Avatar in 3D, particularly on an Imax screen reignites the movie going experience. It is a highly immersive experience which is important in order for the audience to care about the characters, particularly in an age where video games can look as real as real life and many of them are more blind violence than story. The experience is worth every dime.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
