Disjointed, over long, not well thought out, childish plot...these are phrases I would use to describe this movie. At 2:45 mins you would think this guy would have something to say, or something exciting, or some deep message to share, or............. something:)! This movie makes "Dances With Wolves" look like "The Magnificent Seven", really!
Loved Iron Man and the last Batman movie, liked Transformers, but was extremely disapointed with Watchmen. Bright spot, performance by Jackie Earle Haley of the "Rorschach" character, he was excellent. Everyone else, not so good:)
Simple story with big potential to be overdone, wasn't. Moved along, over before it started. The contrast between what's done today ( for commercial success) and this film gave it more substance upon exit. Nice job
very well done but complicated. not a 20 year old's movie. the average age of our audience was maybe 45, and most seemed to enjoy this complicated and layered farce. think of a dark , intricate forrest gump.
if you fit this profile, this movie is one of the best!
Feels like the 3rd movie of the jim carrey slapstick genre from 10-15 years ago, not like it, but they were all formulatic. Fortunately it's funny, for now. but it's definitely starting to show signs of repeatability. Too bad, the creator seems like a talented guy. Hope he grows out of this before it gets too old. Hope the actor does the same, he's no jim carry, or robin williams, or will farrell, and that most likely means an even shorter half-life if he doesn't evolve.
Not a great acting vehicle. Nothing that resembles a thought piece. Not a vehicle for Lawerence Olivier to stretch out with, but a whole lot of fun! More (and better) wiz bang than the original, but still retained enough of the original that you knew what planet you were on. Overall, a great escape!
moves you along from the begining and keeps a smile on your face between some really big laughs. suprisingly ingenious and not at all contrived, our enitre family really enjoyed this film. ms. hathaway's performance was equal to while complementing mr. carell's and both did as well or better as they've done in their previous light films. a surprising delight!
