Not what I expceted. The movie was pretty good actually. No unnecessary violence (there was violence, but it had purpose). It's PG-13 so no f-bombs (which we expcect of Mr. Willis). For a robot movie, it had more plot than I expected. However, it was rather short and left a lot of unanswered questions and I don't forsee any sequals to answer those questions. All in all a good movie.
I took my three year old son to see it, he loved this movie. It was entertaining for both myself and my son. It wasn't too scary nor was it overly juvenile. There was only one part that upset him. The audience is led to believe one of the monsters is no longer with us. Other than the enjoyed the movie thoroughly. (we did not see the 3-d version)
This movie was wonderful! Very funny, very kid friendly (too many animated films are not these days). I laughed so much. It's a lot of fun for everyone, the whole family can enjoy it. I'm not a huge Jim Carrey fan, but he was very funny in this, not over the top like he can be. Steve Carall made a very good Who. The characters are memorable and lovable. Very short amount of scariness involving a volture (my son had to leave the theater for about 5 minutes, he's two). Otherwise, no reason not to take very small children to see it.
