OK for people who didnt read book

I was upset to see the many ommisions from the book. Dumbledoors funeral and the wedding preperations with Ron's brother. Also, in the book, there is more of a battle at Hogwarts at the end but there isnt any battle at all in this movie. I kinda wonder if whoever wrote this movie actually read the entire book? I am really worried about HP7 and the need to try and split it in 2 movies. I think they could have worked more on the feelings between Harry and Ginny and Hermione and Ron. However, my wife who hadnt read any of the books liked it. So I think if you dont know what you missed, its ok
