Entertaining Shorts

My family and I enjoyed watching the diverse collection of shorts. Each of us had favorites as well as films we weren't crazy about. We all especially liked Not Abracadabra.

Fine, if Depressing, Character Study

This film is worth seeing, if just for Anne Hathaway's performance. I could have done without the 20 minutes of wedding music, which made the film drag. But otherwise, Demme's directing was smart. The movie makes you think about who's really responsible for life's tragedies and when apologies are meaningful. Worth seeing, just don't expect a light comedy.
