Tina Fey is awesome at dry humor and playing on pop culture ("Mean Girls" is one of my top faves). It is perfect stuff for my fellow gen-exers! Amy Poehler is hilarious, just like on SNL. I don't know how she (or anyone else involved in the scene) can keep from laughing out loud. Reminds me a lot of how I used to think the same as I watched "The Carol Burnett Show" when I was a kid. The movie was funny and light. Plot was not developed as fully as I would have liked..a couple of flat characters could have been more developed to add depth; however, very funny and enjoyable overall. The one thing I was disappointed about was that there was recurring talk of the new boyfriend's 12 year old daughter, but she never made an appearance. I would have at least put her in during the early credits at the birthday party scene to bring closure to the mention of the character. Oh yeah, Steve Martin, another poker-faced comic master. I loved him! Go see it;)
Yes, I recommend this movie.
