Avatar bring up the age-old dilemma of Cain.

..and Abel. This movie talks on the one hand the desire of the materialist to grab evermore things with the equally intense desire of the harmonists/gatherers to leave things more or less as they find them. Of course, both positions are exaggerated in this movie for emphasis but the essential dilemma is the same.
the narration seems very pushy towards the same cliched ending where love conquers all. If you think about it though, this one cliche is absolutely necessary for us sons of Cain to keep on hoping that our sins of desire shall be forgiven by posterity.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
