This is the best Batman movie ever! But it's definitely not for kids. Even my wife was shaken up by some of the violence. The story was excellent, the action was great and the performances top notch. Heath Ledger was excellent as the Joker although I'm not sure about Oscar worthy. I think that's more sympathy than anything else. Christian Bale is great as Batman. They finally cast that part right!
I did have a couple things I didn't like. Maggie G. as the lost love interest was one. Sorry, but she's just not beautiful enough. I guess they were trying to get someone who looks like Katie Holmes. The other thing I didn't like was the ending. I won't say anything more so as not to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
