The ads for the movie were promising, but the movie didn't deliver. Seth Rogen did a terrible job and was wrong for the role all together. They wasted Tom Wilkinson, Cameron Diaz, James Olmos and Christoph Waltz... what a shame...Jay Chou was good all around - the part and the performance. 3-D was OK; this one looked like layers of background, middle and foreground - like cut outs positioned one in front of the other.
This movie was about nothing. There was no conflict, adversary or plot. The first two at least had something going on. We got it - Lion is Jesus, now what?
This movie is very entertaining. The cast is awesome and they really pull it off. The story is a bit out there at times and some parts were a bit slow, but at the end, as a whole, it was a good effort. In the sea of garbage that we have seen in the movies in the last couple of years, this one is a hit.
With this many action stars, this is a surprisingly bad movie. It showcases Stallone and his "dramatic acting" abilities while completely wasting Jet Lee and Jason Statham.
The script was bad, the directing even worse. Eric Roberts made a terrible bad guy. Action was OK, but interrupted by long, moody pauses. This movie should have been directed by a real action movie director, not a self-promoting aging star.
We like Rodriguez's movies and we were looking forward to this one. Unfortunately it was full of political propaganda and lopsided commentary on immigration, conservatives, tea parties and Americans.
Instead of a nice stylized action flick this was a incoherent, inconsistent, outlandish, racist, wasteful debacle.
All we wanted was blood, guts, knifes, guns and a few smart-ass lines - the usual. Instead it was just offensive. What is happening in Hollywood???
This was so-o-o bad! The movie, though full of action, was very incoherent and outlandish. The Russians were so ridiculous, I just started laughing out loud right in the middle of the movie. The plot was useless and dialog didn't make sense neither in English nor in Russian. Tom Cruise, who was supposed to be in the movie originally, probably is thanking his lucky start for dodging this dud.
This was an action packed, fun summer movie. The plot is not plausible, but there is enough action and not too much liberal propaganda, so you will have a have a nice time. Tom Cruise and Camerone Diaz are a bit old for extreme close ups, but it is not too obnoxious.
This is a good, solid movie. We had fun, which is pretty much what we were looking for. The plot was good, the acting was excellent, the CGI was awesome. This was one of those rare times when we came out of the movie theater and did not feel robbed.
If you are not looking for historical accuracy and are not bothered by somewhat tan, but definitely Aryan looking cast, it is a good entertaining movie. Disney did its job. It is visual, fun and reasonably plausible.
It had a good plot, great acting, great direction, awesome visuals - everything you need for a good night at the movies. This really hit the spot. Robert Downey Jr. is worth every penny they paid him.
