The movie was entertaining because Washington and Wahlberg have good chemistry and James Olmos makes a good villain. The story was pedestrian and predictable, the dialog was average with a few good jabs here and there. The only reason the movie was better than average garbage Hollywood puts out these days is because of the actors.
For God's sake, Hollywood, your industry has so much money! Go, round up some good writers and stop torturing us with substandard product. The movie theaters are empty, get a clue!

The movie was OK, as far as the movies go these days. It felt a bit too long and dragging in places. Some parts were too predictable and some parts were confusing. The last quarter of the movie was all over the place.
The story could have been good, but they couldn't decide what to do with it,
Jackman did a great job, as always. Some wise-ass lines they forced on him fell flat, but it was the writers, not the actor.
The cliffhanger after the credits was good.

Couldn't they come up with the original story? They slaughtered all the sacred cows and made a questionable sausage. Abrams took the iconic Trek characters and greatest scenes from the previous movies and shows and jammed them unceremoniously into this "new" timeline, completely bastardizing all we know and love in the process. This is as much as I can say without revealing the plot.
Visually - more glares and confusing 3D with obnoxious ever present Star Wars look with Spaceballs uniforms.
Overall, there was so much in this movie, I am still trying to make sense of it. The trekkie in me is not happy.... not happy at all. If you approach this as non-Trek Sci-Fi, then the movie is OK.

This a straight forward action/western. The story was good, the pace was dynamic, the jokes were funny, the action was plenty, the actors did their jobs very well. This is a good one, Arnold. I guess all that unresolved anger from being the Governor of California found an outlet.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, very entertaining, funny, plenty of action, ahnuld!

They lured me in with Bruce Willis .... and then I had to sit through extremely long, moody and somewhat confusing and over-thought concoction.
The actors did great, special effects were on the dot, but the plot was contrived, inconsistent and, in places, unnecessarily disturbing. They completely screwed up and misconstrued the mechanics and repercussions of the time travel. If you follow the loops' logic, you will see where each loop is incomplete and will restart again. The illogical outcomes made me more unsettled than the intentionally graphic torture scene.
What a disappointment. The plot had potential. I think some interesting side stories were wasted. Try again, Hollywood.

Considering the cast, this does not meet the expectations. This one is slightly better than the first movie, but still does not reach either quotable or memorable category. The special effects are great, actors did their jobs, the story line is OK. Van Damm as villain is two dimensional and bland. Stallone, and Willis are OK, Statham is very good, Schwarzenegger was pretty bad, Norris was funny, Lungren was strange.
The movie lacked the dynamic among the characters that you would expect from such collection of aging action stars. I got pretty much all the references to the various movies and inside jokes, but all of that seemed too forced. They should have just stuck with making fun of themselves and skipped the "serious" story line.
The dig at US army killing strait dogs was extremely unappreciated. I don't know which liberal military hating studio exec forced that in, but it really ticked me off.

The plot was a little thin. This particular installment of Ice Age is good for little kids and not anybody else. The previous installments were better written and more engaging. Visuals and acting was good and it had a few good side stories, but overall it was very straight forward and sketchy. Don't waste your money on the movie ticket, get it on DVD or cable. The Simpsons short they showed before the main attraction was straight out propaganda, bashing Ayn Rand and completely misrepresenting everything she stood for..... The Simpsons..... seriously?....

After so many movie theater disappointments, finally, there is this great, entertaining movie.
Joss Whedon can do no wrong. Good, sound story and very good acting, dynamic, coherent, with a great villain. The A-list cast was showcased properly, where everybody had sufficient screen time, even peripheral characters.The chemistry among all the actors was rare and superb.

The movie was OK. Visuals look like they ripped off the new Star Wars.There were some intriguing characters and engaging story lines. Overall the movie was a bit confusing because they didn't explain some of the story backgrounds. I had a good time. Probably will not watch for the second time, but will go see the sequel.
