GROWN UPS ARE NOT.....

I expected to have more laughs then I actually did. The first half of the film was very flat, but it did finally deliver when the grown ups got to the water park. WET AND WILD was much funnier than DRY AND ADULT.
Also, with no insult to Dennis Dugan , the film felt like a TYLER PERRY production. I admire Perry very much because he truly knows his audience. I believe Dugan did not really have a handle on knowing his own audience.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Mr. Smith goes to China and finds it necessary to take up KUNG FOO to defend himself against those nasty classmates who seem to be upset by his dreadlocks. Please, spare me from remakes which are so bad, the only good thing to be said is that the scenary is beautiful; except the actors get in the way of the shot!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

I was not a watcher of the TV program, so I have no baggage to overcome. I really had a good time. the action was non-stop, the cast's charecter relations were real, and, above all, the movie delivered.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

GIVE IT A CHANCE!

Having seen it on opening Friday night, I have already recommended it to friends as a film to enjoy for what it is: A GOOD BAD MOVIE.
The audience was very attentive during the first half, and then broke into gales of laughter for the next quarter, and finally settled down for the last quarter. The somewhat expected ending, a homage to ROSEMARY'S BABY, was a befitting cliffhanger for HAVE ANOTHER SPLICE.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

SHINE A LIGHT

I am not a fan of the ROLLING STONES, nor am I a great fan of Scorsese; however, I am a fan of IMAX and consider it the only way to see "event movies". Therefore, it was with great trepidation that I went to see SHINE A LIGHT. In all honesty, the experience was INCREDIBLE! The camera work, the performances, the historical clips and the use of the full IMAX screen added up to an event movie such as I have never seen before. I recommend this film, in IMAX, to anyone who wants to learn or relearn about the ROLLING STONES.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
