It was an interesting concept, but horribly executed. The script was poor and every attempted joke fell completely flat. I'm still not sure if it was supposed to be a kid's movie or adult because none of them worked for either group. My wife and I took my 6 year old son, my 11 year old son, and my 16 year old nephew. It fell flat for all of us. My nephew fell asleep and my wife and I kept looking at each other throughout in astonishment at how bad it was. I say stay away and don't even rent.
They sure did this one right! Not only was this perhaps the best superhero movie ever, it was an all around great flick. But just because it says Batman, don't think it means bring the kids. Super dark and disturbing with a great Joker played by Ledger.
I guess I expected too much, but this movie really failed to deliver. It was just way too silly, especially the jungle scenes with Tarzan boy and his hordes of monkeys. And just how long were those natives waiting in the walls of the temple? And who were those goofy guys hanging out in the graveyard jumping around....and surviving a nuclear blast in a fridge?! I expected pulpy, over the top action, but this was goofy.....
One of the silliest movies I have seen. Some cool effects, but they used them over and over and over. Started off okay, but then just deteriorated. And what in the world is a loom of destiny? Maybe a rental, but a waste of a theater ticket.
