Excellent movie version of the terrific book The Help. Even my husband loved it. A hearfelt tale of the 60's, the stifled civil rights movement in Mississippi, a young woman's desire to have a career in journalism and the pain of prejudice.
An adorable movie about the life of Carl, an elderly man introduced to the audience as a young boy enthralled with his hero, a world explorer.
Carl and his wife have spent their lives hoping to travel to Paradise Falls founded by their hero, the explorer Muntz.
Carl has the adventure of his life along with his new young friend Russell as the movie unfolds.
Young children might find the snarling menacing dogs frightening.
The rest of the movie is cleverly adorable in both dialogue and action as Carl and Russell come to know one another and work together when they meet up with the famed explorer Muntz.
Excellent job of building the younger characters to mature into the tv characters that we so loved. Nuances and phrases were spot on. Any star trek fan who loved the TV series will love this prequel. Spock, Kirk, Sulu, Scottie, Bones, Checkov and Uhura all perfect!
LOVED the time/ worm hole explanation . Loved Leonard Nimoy reprising his role and counseling the younger Spock and Kirk
Great chase sequences and lots of double crossing. Beautiful scenery. Bond is debonair and relentless. I do miss the gadgets from earlier Bond movies but it was still fun to see.
This was an enjoyable, exemplary and yet heartbreaking movie. Ernie Davis was an inspiration in the face of extreme adversity. A must see for those who were not aware of what that era was like. Excellent for boys and girls, football and nonfootball fans.
