Of the many movies I've seen in this genre, Captain America hits a wonderful balance between compelling action movie and the "feel" of a real comic book. The camera angles, use of light use of primary colors all come together for a fast paced and thrilling adventure.
If this movie version of Captain America actually were a comic book, it would be a "page-turner."
Great to see these action heroes together, the story was enjoyable. The action & dialogue was predictable and funny; the genre was both celebrated and playfully poked-fun at.
I really enjoyed this. Despite warnings from friends & family, I found this story to be easy to follow & I loved the ending. They used settings with such extreme contrasts that you'll have no problem figuring out at which "level" (setting) the characters are at all times.
Usually it's the other way around in movies, but in "Takers" the main characters started off as brilliant, scary smart, master-robbers. Unfortunately as the story progressed, through a series of bad decisions, they got dumber & dumber. In the end they were a bunch of bumbling idiots, most of whom "took it for the cause."
