This was a refreshingly funny movie, not corny at all. Meryl and Alec were great together in this movie! I'd see it again. One of the best movies of the year, with a really great cast.

Not what we Expected

Compared to the book... movie was a bit sad/depressing and violent...my 3 year old boy was fascinated with the monsters but the movie was slow for him and he got fidgety and bored during the emotional parts. Would not discourage long time lovers of the story from checking out the screen adaptation but for the kids I might not recommend. The IMAX experience was great!
