Surprisingly Poignant...unless you've seen trailer

This is not a Nicholas Cage movie so non of the acting is over the top. The human drama unfolds without a lot of surprise, yet manages to move the audience without feeling like a well-oiled tear jerker. Overall there was some great acting by Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush with a good supporting performance given by Helena Bonham Crater, who seemed to push beyond her lines and deliver an understated yet powerful performance. I recommend this movie for the 17-65 crowd. Any younger and you'd lose the audience.
Actions packed? yes. Angelina Jolie beautiful? Yes. Nice tattoos. You even see a shot of her bony back side (which wasn't great). Morgan Freeman's character - predictable. Plot - convoluted yet managing to become transparent enough half way through. Nothing makes enough sense here for this to be a good movie. No good catch phrases either and only McAvoy's character shows any depth. If you like action, you'll want to see this movie-- At your house.
Eh. Visually pleasing movie (I like my animations) and cute main character. The love interest (futuristic robot) was not as well developed as I would have liked. Because there is hardly any dialogue in the film, it comes off as a little flat. What was there was just not enough to hold my attention for the duration. A movie to take your kids to see, not a date.
The plot was OK. Slapstick humor abounded. Horrid scene with HB and Abe singing, meant to be funny but missing the mark and ending up ludicrous. HB's love interest's role was weak this time around, the plot between the two of them winds up unresolved, overly simplified and seems out of place in this movie. Dark foreboding nonsense about HB's future as a bringer of destruction, getting us ready for HB III felt ill-conceived and was not well thought out enough to be anything but annoying. My spouse and I LOVED HB I and eagerly awaited the release of this sequel. We were very disappointed. Just an OK movie. I'd wait and rent if you've got a big enough screen at home.
