While I myself am not Puerto Rican, I have worked in the PR community for several years. This movie hits the nail on the head in its representation of a family during the holiday season. Debra Messing also provides an example of someone unfamiliar to the customs who is trying deperately to understand them and fit in.
Is the movie a true comedy? No, but I don't know anyone whose life is a laugh a minute.
It is definitely a movie worth seeing.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
