I was expecting to see a Good Movie...But I saw an EXCELLENT MOVIE! The story was well told, The Actors were at their BEST! The audience in the theater ( including myself) were drawn into this film, evoking a range of emotions, including shock, revulsion, humor, & pride, Very thoughtful and discussion provoking...See it more than once..I will!
Fun Movie! We laughed and enjoyed all of the Action!! Helen Mirren, Bruce Willis, Anthon Hopkins, & Malkovich had great dialogue and gave it all!! We really enjoyed the fight scenes...Lee Byung-Hun BREAKOUT STAR!! Cool, Cute, & Fighting Dynamo!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, good action
Story averagem, Superman...very cute...but, the fight sequence was too long!! Just kill the Bad Guy already!!Trying to do a Dark version like Batman...I miss the light hearted/funny Christopher Reeve version.
I was very excited to see this movie! My son has written at least 3 reports on Jackie Robinson throughout Elementayr & Jr High school...We are also Dodger Fans. The acting by Chadwick Boseman was heartfelt as he portrayed the strength of Jackie Robinson..I love the the actress ( Nicole Beharie) who played Rachel Robinson. The story showed the love, passion and support they had for each other.
My husband would've like if more detail was paid to Robinson's UCLA & Military years. The subjects were brought up briefly.
I am very happy with learning about the sports writer Wendall Smith who chronicled Jackie's career.
The acting by the entire cast was good...movie didnt feel like 2+ hours..I could watch more! For those who didn't understand why WE treasured and Loved Jackie Robinson...This movie should help!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, loved chadwick boseman
I was planning on writing a long arduous review ...but then I would have to relive this movie!! so, here it is in a Nutshell...Actors are too old to have us believe they were Radical College students 30 yrs ago more like 50! ( Redford is 76 w/ an 8 yr old daughter)..Story is too confusing, unbelievable, & by the end of the film YOU DON"T CARE!...And ROBERT REDFORD...KEEP YOUR SHIRT ON!!
007 WAS WONDERFUL! I AGREE WITH OTHER REVIEWERS IT WAS A MIXTURE OF "OLD SCHOOL BOND" WITH "NEW SCHOOL BOND"..
Action keeps you on the edge of your seat and background info on Bond. Craig and Dench are perfect pairings and play off each other very well. Other new characters are also well written and well acted.
We saw this film at an IMAX theater which intensified the experience!
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, lots of action
I really enjoy Burton's animated films..especially this one. Clever dialogue , a great tribute to horror movies of old, The art direction is goth and cool. Many funny and tongue in cheek scenes..good for adults.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, great art direction
I was excited to see this film, I had enjoyed the original & WANTED TO SEE WHITNEY! I knew when the film was bumped up to shw in August instead of original date, something would be missing...I wish a Montage of WHitney could have been shown during the closing credits..or outtakes of the movie.Whitney did a very good job in the film..Jordin Sparks is beautiful & a wonderful singer, there no scenes of them singing together though they are on the soundtrack. The story is not as gritty as the original, this version is a little preachy which is reallized when the credits rolled, T.D Jakes is involved. I t was not clear of what happened to "Emma" when she tried "show business" Why was "Sister" so angry with her when, clearly a beautiful home was provided for the family and "Emma' had her own business...Did Emma fall into drugs or alcohol? She at least pulled it together enough to provide for her children. Why was she passed out on the couch as the girls snuck out and sang at night clubs..for months? They should've watched the scene from "what's love gotta do with it" do learn how to direct and film a domestic violence scene..Larry Fishburne was excellent..this one was choppy and looked amaturely done. How did "Sparkle" fil up a venue & afford an orchestra and all...for an unknown singer?
Okay, I will still reccomend the music is good, Whitney, and it has good intentions...just need a little tightening up.
i LOVED THE FIRST MIB!! Didn't care for the second (I can't even remember what it was about!!) And I'm sure I will soon forget this one. The first scene, when the criminal Boris broke out of jail was good except the GROSS TONGUE KISS WITH ACCOMPLICE was good. Then the rest of the film was similar the the others. Will Smith, Tommy L Jones & Josh Brolin ( the Best Actor) did the best they could, but...I was done after a few minutes!! even my son& Hubby dozed off occasionally. The storyline of going back into time to Save the World...didn't quite mesh. 1. Chocolate milk connection..wtf! 2, andy Warhol scene..ditto 3. Who didn't or couldn't realize that the Captain/COlonel/Major whomever the other only Black Guy in the film was..Would turn out to be the father of "J"!!?? 4. Who drove little "j" to the beach? His father who was on duty? 5. SO, "k" felt guilty all of these years because "J's" father took a bullit for him or that he left his dying body ON THE BEACH!! SIGH...no more MIB!! I only reccommended this movie because...MISERY LOVES COMPANY!!
