Tom Cruise as Ethan, and the script, remain true to the IMF franchise. Good characters, decent plot, action and interaction all provide for an enjoyable and exciting escape to the movies.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

It's one of those movies that gets applause at the end. It was very clever, well developed and consistent within itself, which is important to me in any movie. The storyline deals with views that have been debated throughout the millennia, and does not purport to solve them. It's got a little bit of everything in it, and kept me guessing til the end...
Philip Seymour Hoffman is terrific as always. Very good supporting cast. I like the story. It seemed a little slow at times, but the 134 minutes went by fast. It's a movie about music and protest. Even people who didn't live through the period will relate to this eclectic group. I like the character development and came away believing these guys really had a cause and were dedicated to it.
