Average to good movie. Too much was left unsaid in the film. It should have been at least 20 minutes longer to develop the childrens characters more. Also, Steve Martin's physical humor is unmatched. He did not have enough scenes in this movie. Alec Baldwin has become one of the best actors of his generation. He puts the movie a little above average with his acting and presence in the film.
This movie is one of the best I've seen all year. Sandra Bullock is at her best. And is she getting hotter every year she ages? It's supremely acted. Being a football fan, I knew of the story watching last years NFL draft on ESPN. I had forgot about it, until this movie came out. It was great.
It started off good, and then got a little slow moving through the middle of the film. It redeemed itself towards the end. There are a lot of great actors in this movie.
This movie was totally hilarious. Have a couple of drinks before you go and it will be that much more enjoyable. They should make more R rated movies like this.
The movie was a waste of time. It felt like there was a lot of suspense leading up to nothing at all. Anti-climatic is the word that comes to mind. The acting was fairly good by Wahlberg and some others, but the script sucked. The Zooey girl is a real loser. Not only in this film, but in everything else I've seen her in. What's with casting her? Some of the violent and disturbing images looked so fake that it was the 1970's all over again. The ending was stupid. I hate when they have to give you a message. The message they gave was "Protect The Environment". Oh and the part near the end with Zooey and Mark walking outside into the event was a message too... "Love Conquers All"... now that was really corny.
