Boring. Poor ending because there was no evidence of solving the earth's problems. Not enough action on the part of the huge, robotic cyclop. The original black and white was better. Special effects were okay.
I enjoyed the movie. The war scenes were very exciting. I didn't understand whether or not the little boy was a spirit being or a human being. I didn't understand if his gun wound had killed him, and his friend, Arturo, brought him back to life. I was unable to connect the dots regarding the significance of the severed head. Also, how come the Hector had a gun at his work station? Was he expecting his war time advisary to some day show up just so he could shoot him? Did Hector know the man (traitor) was living in the same city? That should have been played out more. Finally, did Hector go to jail for shooting the man?
I simply love Al Pacino. From first he became known as a young actor, I've been a devoted fan. He was awesome to watch. It is he that drew me to see the movie. Very suspenseful. Great drama from the very beginning. Kept me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who was killing all the "bad" guys. Two veteran actors still able to pull off a fantastic movie.
I enjoyed the movie. Found parts of if very funny because my laughter was genuine, not forced. I am Negro. I loved Robert Downey, Jr. as a Caucasian Australian actor acting like a Negro actor. Tom Cruise, great!!!!!!! I liked that there were so many star worthy actors doing bit parts, and so much name dropping of "A" list actors who weren't in the movie. Ben Stiller is absolutely not one of my favorite actors because he just stars in and/or produces/directs silly movies. He has pigeon holed himself. I dont' know what he would be like in a serious drama. He has become one dimensional. It was primarily the character of Robert Downey, Jr. that drew me in.
