The Help

Have you ever read a book first and then went to see the movie, only to be disappointed by how the movie version was handled? That your favorite parts were left out or re-worked? Well, I read the book prior to seeing the movie and was not disappointed AT ALL! This movie stayed true to the story and handled this sensitive subject, civil rights (or lack thereof), in the south in the early 1960's, with aplomb. While your heart aches for the help, you never pity them. Rather you witness their strength and determination to make the best of the difficult situations there were often born into.
This movie does not pander to the audience, yet after a week since its release, the theater was packed. That made me thrilled beyond belief. I think this would be a great movie to share with all the generations to remind us that we are all human, regardless of race, crede, religion.
I am thankful that this book was written and that the movie was made!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Best of the Saga So Far

This is definitely the best so far, though I'm Team Edward so not surprising. The action sequences were very well done, though I didn't know that vampires were giant geodes. Other than the distractingly awful wig that Kristen Stewart wore, the Bella and Edward scenes were very sweet and the Edward and Jacob tent scene was well done. Can't wait for the next one (I mean two).
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Wait for DVD

There were some very funny parts, but most was just eh. I didn't feel it was worth the price of a theater ticket, but wouldn't be bad to rent when it gets on DVD. Most of the funniest parts were in the trailer.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Remember Me is Memorable

Very well acted, well scripted, strong cast. The relationships, especially the romance between Tyler (Robert Pattinson) and Ally (Emilie de Ravin) develop organically and don't seem forced. However, if you don't want to cry, don't see this movie. It is incredibly moving and the ending stays with you (as it should). I understand Robert Pattinson executive produced in order to maintain the integrity of the story and it was well worth it. A typical Hollywood ending would have ruined the overall story. Definitely worth seeing.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
