This was fun when the characters were in development, but the technical effects overwhelmed the plot and the interaction between characters. Such a shame as the characters were well chosen, especially Captain Kirk.
The original premise was on the science, not the loudness of the effects. The producers should have followed this idea.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
