Amazing film. A must see in IMAX.

This movie is BIG. So it must be seen in the IMAX. That's the first thing.
The movie itself - sure, it hits some slow points and the script isn't of the caliber of Citizen Kane - but let's be honest...is that REALLY why we're going to see this movie? This film has amazing action scenes, superb effects (the 3D is great too), and its 2 hr 7 min run time flies by.
I'm a huge fan of the original, and I can say that this sequel lives up to the first one. It respects the previous story, while building more layers on top of it. Jeff Bridges is great reprising his roles as Kevin Flynn and CLU.
Finally, the music by Daft Punk truly makes this movie great. It is absolutely a perfect backdrop to what is being projected on screen.
So, I highly recommend this movie to anyone looking for some great action, perhaps some 80s nostalgia, and most of all - FUN.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Best Movie So Far This Year

Many people exaggerate with hype, etc...giving current movies more credit than they deserve. This movie, however, deserves ALL of the credit it has received. It is the best movie I've seen all year. The plot, flow, action, and performances are all top notch. Great special effects as well (and this is coming from someone who HATES CGI when it's overused....see Indiana Jones). Heath Ledger should be considered for Best Supporting Actor, and that is NOT just hype surrounding his death. I actually preferred Katie Holmes to Maggie Gyllenhaal in the role of Rachel Dawes, but Maggie does do a fine job filling in. By all means, though, go see this movie!!! You will not be disappointed.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Too much CGI and bad script spoils new Indy flick

If you've been waiting 19 years for the new Indiana Jones movie like I have, you've probably got some high expectations. Despite my Indy "fanboy" status, I kept those expectations grounded. However, this film is still a gigantic disappointment on many levels.
CGI abuse (thanks to Lucas), silly juvenile humor a la Star Wars prequels, and lack of good material to work with leaves this Indy flick with barely anything to redeem itself with.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
