apart from the message of being strong enough to break away and follow your dreams, the background story is quite dark and heartbreaking. make sure your kids understand waht real love means. PS: 3D effects were quite nice but HDTV has ruined movie going for me...it's not as sharp as what you see on your flat screen nowdays!
...he wanted to 'go home' through the sad, slow parts, but the movie quickly picked up the pace and he stayed til teh end! PS: best movie mommy has seen in a long time too!
not only women should see this movie, but specially men (though it'll be hard to get any man to see it, the period theme throws them off immediately unless russell crowe or johnny depp stars in it); teenagers should get to see it too so they can understand how far we've come in terms of relationships and individual rights (then again, some things never change); the story is more tragic because of the setting, many people still believe that royalty (for that matter, wealth in general) is immune to misery.
