Okay, the Newspaper review was pretty close on this one. It was LOUD enough to keep you concentrating on the continuous action. I even jumped a couple of times when something unexpected SHOT out! Wished, however, that the animated aliens weren't borrowed from another recent invasion movie. Some good effects.
Never did get into the characters much.
Thought it would make a good rental.
Note: My wife HATED this movie.

OMG! A movie without Aliens, Car Chases,
Sex, Explosions or Shoot-Outs!
(Usually, my favorite stuff).
Guess what?
We just saw "The King's Speech" and it was GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't listen to newspaper reviewers. This is a delightful movie and a GREAT showcase for CA's talent! This was very much like a Broadway Musical, complete with a dumb plot as an excuse for FUN dancing and singing.
A GREAT TIME FOR ALL!
Called my Mother in Florida right away, and told her to GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!

This movie was original, exciting, gory, funny, and fast paced.
Did it all make sense? No.
Did we ask lots of questions afterwards? Yes.
Did my wife and I enjoy the movie? YES!!
Will there be a sequel? We HOPE SO!!!

Best Effects Ever!

I thought twice about going to see this movie on Saturday. Newsday gave it 1 and 1/2 stars.
Well, THEY WERE WRONG!
I was taken in by the story, action, acting, effects and sound for the ENTIRE two and 1/2 hours! Are many chase scenes as plausable as those in Indiana Jones.....YES! But I happen to know that many people like this type of action, including MYSELF!!
In this case, it's the Earth/Wind/Fire that is doing the chasing...AND THAT'S EXCITING!
I liked this movie so much that I went to see it AGAIN on Sunday!
In fact, if I buy a Blue Ray Player this Holiday Season, it's because I will eventually want to see 2010 on it- In My Living Room!
If you like science fiction (and I hope that's all lit is), then you MUST SEE THIS MOVIE!
