Much like "I am legend", this movie gives credence to the "Fast Zombie" scenario as being tenable over the "slow zombie" tradition. It does entice me to pick up the book it is based on for more details (which is a credit to its making). It's a bit thin on the ending, that the approach found to the issue doesn't really close the issue at hand ... perhaps they needed room for 'sequel'. I think treatment of the Brad Pitt family was a bit week in the plot. All of the situations did need a suspension of belief, but not too much for an action flick and was an enjoyable time overall. The way in which Brad's character came up with an approach was one of the big stretches ... but it is fiction, after all, told in a limited time frame.
