If you watched the cartoon version then you can understand the movie. If not, the movie will be a unique journey for you into a different world. My group ages ranged from 6 , 8 , 10 , 17 and 36. The 3 younger ones were at awe of the movie. My 17 yr. old couldn't get use to the 3D glasses and felt cross eyed the whole time. i enjoyed it but it's something I won't see twice.
Despicable Me is a movie that has a bit of everything for every age group. I was surprised that I enjoyed it myself. The movie has alot more to offer then what the previews shown and was refreshing.
Best "B" movie you will see. =) I usually don't comment on acting but it was pretty "B-movie-ish". It still made you wonder what was going to happen next. If you have kids and don't want them to see gore then don't take them because there are a few scenes. I recommend it for rental.
My title tells the tale of this movie. Drawn out way drawn out. Yes there are spots through out the movie that make you jump, hold your breathe, and wait for something to happen. And you'll wait and wait and wait. If you liked SAW and Texas chain saw massacre then you won't like this movie. If you liked Blair Witch then you'll like this.
It's really a 4 1/2 star. The only reason it lost a half of a star is because there were some slow spots where the kids in the theater became bored and restless. Other then that, excellent movie with a moral lesson to boot. =)
WOW sums it up...the only thing better is to go see the movie! If you liked the first you'll love Narnia, Prince Caspian. The movie will hold you attention the hold way through to the end. New characters and villains mixed with the old merging the first storyline to this so that you’re not clueless of what is going on. You will not be disappointed at all.
I love classic Kung-Fu. Li and Chan gives you double the punch in action, awe jaw dropping fighting scenes and bits of comedy throughout. For the parents, be warned, there are some subtitles which younger children will need help to read. Keep in mind if you have more then one sit them on either side of you so you can read it to them. Great movie for all ages. I definitely will be adding to my DVD collection when it comes out.
If you know the Grinch Stole Christmas, then you have an idea of how the movie will be portrayed. It does follow the storyline of the book and it has a narrator (just like the Grinch Stole Christmas). The computer animation and the cast of actors who do the voices bring the characters to life and draws you into the world of Horton and the Who's. Don't expect it to be some comedy act. Like I said it follows the story line. Add a few jokes and read the book and that's the movie.
