There isn't much to say about this movie as it was very plain. I absolutely loved the first two and was very excited for this one, but it just didn't deliver. The visuals and the settings were however the best I have ever seen, the movie was just beautiful in terms of how it looked, but how it played out was where it hurt. The acting was sub-par which is sad because all the acting in the other ones were great. The fight scenes seemed too over the top even for a Mummy movie but they were still fun. Some great one liners and some funny scenes but the movie still lacked a bit of everything that made the first two so enjoyable. The whole undead army vs. undead army was pretty damn cool, but it was just a big CGI mess in my opinion.
They also make it known that the Emperor has control over the 5 elements (Ice, Fire, Wood, Metal, Earth), but you never see him manipulate wood or metal, but mostly rather just ice throughout the movie.
I would have to say only go see this movie if you really like the first two because if you didn't, then there won't be too much in this movie for you.
I have been waiting for this movie for a few years now. It would mark the first "Indiana" movie I saw in theaters, and after seeing it last night, I could not have been more disappointed. If you are expecting anything like the first 3 films, just throw that assumption out the door. I will try and not give away too much of the story, but just note that this movie from the very beginning strays from the classic action movie formula and takes the route of more of a sci-fi adventure. No German's in this movie for those who might not know yet, being that movie takes place in 1957 so Indy's new enemy are the Russian's. While the movie had lots of good action, it suffered from an over the top storyline of the likes of which Indiana Jones should have never have been in. This is more of a warning then a review not to be expecting much out this film. I expected too much was let down, but don't think it was because of Harrison Ford; He was fantastic. After about the first 35 minutes you completely forget about the man's age because honestly, it doesn't show that much.
