We left after 40 minutes

My soon to be 7 year old son wanted to see this and with a rating of PG - and cartoony feel - I took him; At about the 40 minute mark there is a rather brutal attack on a person leaving much blood on the face -- this really disturbed my son who at that point deemed the movie too scary and insisted that we leave; Though I expected some mild violence - I wasn't expecting blood in a children's movie.. while we're okay with cartoon type violence - I don't think blood was necessary in that scene and I think my son would have been okay with the punching on it's own.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
