Could've understood the jest of the movie without being so blatant about their homosexuality. Enjoyed the political drama and the hope that Mr. Milk tried to convey. Several scenes were very uncomfortable to watch so I wouldn't recommend this movie...it's overrated even though the story is unique and true.
This movie was hilarious! I'd actually spend another $9.00 to go see it again. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Stick around during the credits for a few more laughs...you won't be disappointed. Great script and true humor!
This movie had some decent dialogue but it needed more laugh out loud moments. There wasn't any on-screen chemistry between Sarah Jessica Parker and Dennis Quaid. Dennis did a great job playing an old, crusty college professor. This movie was very dry, drawn out and not a "feel-good" type of show. I would recommend waiting for it to come out on dvd. It insinuates that only those with degrees are "smart" people.
I took my 6 yr. and 8 yr. old to see this flick. We thought it was cute. It wasn't over the top...in fact, it could've used a few more laughs. As a conservative Mom, I would recommend this movie for families. It is not a typical "college" party movie. It was about the relationships we have with each other and frankly, I felt sentimental towards the end about my own children leaving the nest too soon. As long as you don't have too high expectations then this movie is satisfactory and worth paying a matinee price for.
