It was a good movie, but I felt it needed to be more explosive and dynamic because of who Secretariat was. I felt something was lacking in this respect. Diane Lane was great, as usual. I did feel John Malkovich was miscast in the role of LL. Seabiscuit was dynamic, and you felt the emotion, the ups and downs of his career, and of course his final run, and win, of the Santa Anita Handicap. I didn't feel that with Secretariat's win of the Triple Crown here. I had the pleasure of meeting his son, Academy Award, in July. He looked just like dad, only smaller. He passed away in August from the same thing that took his great sire, laminitis. All in all the movie was good, and I will buy it when it comes out on DVD.
