Seven years well spent.

As someone pushing his 40th birthday...all I can say about Avatar is that it made me feel like I did when I saw Star Wars for the first time as a kid. I left the theater actually feeling something. In this jaded world where we are constantly bombarded by special effects and violence, I became completely drawn into the beautiful world of Pandora and into the plight of it's people. Sure the story is the same old - newcomers threaten natives' homes and lives to obtain something the natives don't even value - but it was told in a way that it felt new. Performances were great...especially Zoe Saldana's. And the expression in Na'vi eyes, just made them seem so real.
I'm going to see it again.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
