I love this musical so was excited to see the movie. However the story went nowhere and it was 2 hours of music videos held together by a weak script. The new songs were not good and the direction was obvious. Daniel Day Lewis did a good job of portraying a director in mid-life crisis but ultimately who cares. Those beautiful songs were butchered by actresses who cannot sing. Enough of the big names, let's see some talent up there.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

As someone who travels frequently I found a lot of humor in this movie. It was very timely and had great personal relationships storylines. The signs of a real up and coming director.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
