All too familiar plot and characters, albeit with clever sci-fi twists. Many echos of "Dances With Wolves," i.e., nature-loving native peoples victimized by greedy invaders from far away, only this film trades the West for spectacular intergalactic settings. It'sundeniably a stunning, breathtaking theater experience that takes you to magnificently colorful and beautiful places like no film before it. Its 3D imagery of creatures and otherworldly forests are astonishing and original. Thanks to the computer graphics virtuosity of WETA and ILM, Cameron's Avatar provides one incredible, jaw-dropping visual and sonic moment after another for more than two-and-a-half hours!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
