This movie is the kind of movie hollywood should be making.... a funny, cleaver, well written, well acted, poignant film. One of the best movies I have seen in years.

great movie with universal themes

separation is a great movie, with plenty of drama, emotion and twists and turns. the acting is excellent! the kind of movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat. it also shows you that although this movie takes place in modern day iran, the themes of marriage, divorce, children, family, lies and deceit are universal.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

how refreshing this movie is, it's slightly out of the box, deals with a tragic subject very well and still manages to entertain and enlighten. the acting is top notch and the love stories seem very real not contrived.

paul g. does another fantastic job. this movie has a little of everything: humor, sadness, sports, family, kids, teenagers, adults and all come across real, not contrived, bravo!
