The 3D visual effects were fabulous and warrants all the critical praise but I was looking at my watch at the 75 minute point hoping this movie would end soon. Despite all the great reviews here, there was hardly any applause at the end of the movie from our packed late-night showing. The "Simpsons" got more. Make no mistake--this is an anti-American military movie that portrays us as the bad guys who like to beat up third-world cultures in order to acquire certain natural resources. The plot becomes fairly predictable. Liberals will like this movie; conservative will not.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
