Finally a serious Depp

Public Enemies has to be one of Johnny Depp's best movies. It was so enjoyable to watch him play a serious role again sans goofy costumes.
Don't get me wrong, I like Johnny in all of his roles (except SpongeBob), but it was nice to see his face.
The movie had just the right amount of action, a superb love interest and for all his on set short comings, Christian Bale was not bad either.
The only thing I was hoping a bit more of was the historical component of how Hoover and the FBI started - but that is only because I enjoy that kind of stuff.
Well worth the money, especially if you do a matinee.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
