Believable portrayal of a little known Jewish resistance to the Nazi extermination machine. The ability of human beings to survive unimaginable conditions is inspiring. The film displays the conflicts between passive and militant Jews, between rich and poor, and between anti-Semitic Red Army leaders and their Jewish allies of convenience, as well as the ultimate power of family. Well-acted and vividly filmed.
Through flashbacks the movie reveals how an orphan from Mumbai's slums could win the jackpot in India's version of I Want to be a Millionaire. The reality of life in the slums is portrayed in stark contrast to today's modernizing society in a slightly contrived love story between two compelling young people. Non stop action and music, Bollywood style, with terrific acting. See it.
