If you liked Star Trek IV, you'll enjoy this movie

Although this is a reboot of the franchise, taking place before the events of the classic series, the piece of prior Star Trek canon which it most closely resembles, in my opinion, is Star Trek IV (the Voyage Home). The character development, humor and tone resembles that movie in many respects. It is probably no coincidence that, of the previous Trek movies, Star Trek IV was the most accessible to non-Trek fans.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

The Year's Best Horror Movie

Coraline is excellent; it's a dark and creepy Brothers Grimm fairy tale for the Internet age. It's not for young children -- the PG rating really means Parental Guidance. Older kids, teens and adults should all enjoy it. Puritanical families may be more disturbed by images of an animated elderly burlesque queen putting on a show than by the violence.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
