Why Bother

The drawing card of Julia child played by Meryl Streep will sell tickets. Having read her "My Life in France" which is a rich, informative autobiogrpahy I was irritated by the movie's silly stupid premise about a young simple minded housewife who showed no true understanding of food and what she was doing all all becasue she was bored. Even Streep who has mastered accents and impressions of people performance was a bit over the top- Bill
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Aviva Kemper certainnly chose the right now obscure Goldberg to document. I like so many had no idea who she was or even the show so so artfully created. I felt that Aviva acurately portrayed Ms. Goldburg in a very honest and enteraining way. It is a must see for anyone interested in radio and TV history. Bill Cook
