Even without the book, it is great!

My girlfriends and I went to the midnight show last night. Though most of us had read the book, a couple had not and they still LOVED the movie. I agree that I had a better understanding of some scenes then the non readers did, but over all the movie stands on its own. I was worried about the casting, since my imagination is quite vivid, but all the actors/ actressess were fantastic. I am taking my daughter to see it this weekend and am crossing my fingers for the sequel.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
