While the premise seemed promising and fresh, ugh, what a dissapointment. Nothing is ever explained. How did society reach this point? Who controls it? The "why's and wherefor's go unanswered. A complete waste of time.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

What was Nicholas Cage thinking?

Cage must be real hard-up for $ to star in this crap. I would have been more entertained if he starred in a tampon commercial. The plot was lame, the 3D was a waste of $. The ending seemed to come right out of a '50s B horror flick. I gave it 1 star because my wife jumped in her seat once when a 3D object ssemed to come at you. That was the only entertaining part of the movie for me. If moviegoers were allowed to ask for refunds based on crap movies perhaps the studios would think before releasing pure crap.
How hard up could Richard Dryfuss be to appear for even those 60 seconds in this trash? (Actually, the subtle reference to his part in Jaws was pretty funny ... for those who got it)

Want a great fun ride? 2012 works! Of course much of a "logical" stiryline is missing but who cares? This was a fun diversion and I can't believe that the ending won't have you holding your breath.
