Proof that I love my husband

My husband wanted to go because he'd heard the special effects were great. As the credits rolled, he turned to me and apologized. The plot stunk--thin, kiunky, and inconsistent--but that was about what I expected. The effects were surprisingly unimpressive, and they didn't do much at all with the 3D. That's $14 and 2 hours, 7 minutes that I wish I could get back.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This movie does a great job of evoking the time and place (I know--I was there). It's funny, moving, and totally involving. Sean Penn is fantastic.
