Just got back from this movie. My husband and I really enjoyed it. Everything was so good in it. It was entertaining, original and entertaining the way they presented in a story tell manner. Even for retrospective they even had some retro from the tv series. Go to be entertained, sit back and enjoy yourself Its really good.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, like the presention
I read this book and was disappointed in what they pick to put in the movie in part one of Breaking Dawn (I would have started out with the Bella filling up the car like in the book), but this movie was right on the money following the book except for some art direction they took at the end to make it more exciting. Loved it and the acting was so much better no lagging like in some of the other movies. This was my favorite book of the series and glad they ended this series like they did with this movie. I highly recommend.
Heads up for parents: There is a love scene, its beautiful and well done with a back, arms and legs, but all the same its a love scene.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, beautiful scenery follow book well done
I enjoyed the new actor playing Spider man and the new girlfriend. It seemed more involved with his family and I like the way they included a new twist to a bullying situation. I thought the monster was rehashed and could do without monsters. I don't enjoy the way you have to sit at the end through the credits to see the end. I didn't, 2 + hours movie is enough i'm ready to get up. We were on the back row at the end of a row so we didn't walk in front of anyone to leave. The IMAX and 3d was fantastic as always. It was too long. They previewed movies that look like it had some good 3d "recall".
Charlize Theron was amazing in this, but the casting was not the best. Kristen Stewart was not the best selection for this - I know they were probably trying to recreate parts from Twilight with her, but they could have done better. Her dialogues were lacking a lot. She did really good in part others not so good. Thor - well that guy is a god hard to see him like this. No chemistry between him and Kristen.
Having saying that we did enjoy. It was most unusual Snow White dark ages is a description that might be used. Some of the women had the most unusual hair styles, and I liked their strength.
Pros well paced, great story, charlize was fantastic
I like this movie because of the way it had a story. Usually don't like Men IN Black because of the Aliens but the trailer intrigued me. The retro part is what I liked and wish there was more interaction there. My only regret is not seeing this in the IMAX 3d theatre which I recommend for anyone going to see this.
This movie was same oh same oh, bad guy good guys. Even some of the disasters were old hash from other movies like Transformers - I swear the thing flying around was used in transformers. Didn't he-man cartoons have that open realm thing. Don't know what all the big deal for this was or why people put all their money in it. Dark Shadows was much more entertaining and more original.
We went to a new Imax theatre with the largest screen in Oklahoma. We were really impressed with that and the 3d though I got a little queasy at times.
Cons not original, too much hype for same oh same oh, some actors think they are all that and more
We really enjoyed this movie. I didn't particular enjoy the soap way back when, but I like Johnny Depp movies so really wanted to see this and was not disappointed. I like Johnny Depp's development of the character Collin Barnabus so funny in parts so sad in others. Michelle Pfeiffer how could it be better? This is a great way to spend theatre time - enjoy.
Pros well paced, great story, great actors, great music, great creation of the past
The movie isn't one I would recommend to any of my family. It deals with uncomfortable situations and its a little long. The boy deserves an award. Tom Hanks has about 5 minutes in this movie and Sandra Bullock doesn't look like herself. Its not sad like everyone thought it would be. In fact, its nothing like you would think from the commercials. We enjoyed it.
This movie was not for everyone, but it was amazing in so many ways. We went to learn how she became prime minister and our question was answered. They didn't dwell at any particular historical part of her adult life which this movie covered. The movie is quiet - I could here my neighbor chew ice. When it was over the audience acted spellbounded and didn't move. I was not disappointed and Meryl Streep performance was like she channeled her. This dealt with parts of our lives that people are uncomfortable with why I don't recommend it.
This movie was so very much enjoyable. Its a great family movie. I loved the characters and especially the horses - i'm not a horse person either, but loved that horse.
Go see it if you get a chance. There some things they can't recreate on a smaller screen.
