A great start to Summer!

Wolverine has definitely started the Summer movie season off in awesome fashion! Hugh Jackman embodies the character so well, and being very familiar with the source materials (ie: reading X-men/Wolverine since my teen years), I can say this is a very entertaining ride. I could nitpick and point out that there are a LOT of continuity errors, timeline gaffes, character issues, etc compared to Wolverine's origins in the comics, but that's ultimately not what counts here. We want to see Wolverine in action..and this film provides that in addition to showing he actually does have a moral compass he follows. Great film and worth seeing!

Summer's Biggest Hit

All I can say is "WOW!!!" a Summer film that actually lived up to ALL of its hype and then some! Understanding that some of that was due to Heath's unfortunate passing, this film still carries on this new take (and I feel much BETTER take) on the Joker with such amazing abandon that I found myself wanting to forget Mr. Nicholson's Joker (no offense, Jack. Yours was great, Heath's was SUPERB). And the whole world of Gotham echoes the dark tones of the comic SO much more. This was a crime saga, a detective story, not a superhero film. And the film benefits from going that direction. All characters involved get to shine tremendously, accept maybe for Rachel Dawes, who gets quite overshadowed by the company she's in. That notwithstanding, great acting on everyone's part, a sweeping epic that has re-defined this whole franchise and taken it to another level. Let the film speak for itself!! When's the NEXT one!! A MUST SEE this Summer!!

"Iron Man" has plenty of mettle

WOW! A truly worthy addition to the Marvel movie pantheon, "Iron Man" delivers everything you'd want in a Summer superhero film: humor, action, engaging characters, action, superb effects, and just an overall entertaining thrill ride. Oh, and did I mention action? Superb casting of Robert Downey, Jr as Tony Stark/Iron Man. He brought Tony's character to life is such a viable way...portraying him as the flawed person he is in the comics, yet making you believe "This guy could really be a hero". Additionally, the supporting cast of characters added to the fun with, again, great casting of Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges, and Gwyneth Paltrow. And make sure to STAY through the end credits....if you haven't already had it spoiled online or by fellow moviegoers. Worth seeing and great way to kick off thr Summer movie season!
