Talk about never judging a book by its cover...this movie, though the title I imagined was a mistake, the movie was FANTASTIC. Daniel Craig is without question a versatile actor. Harrison Ford continues to hold his own. In the beginning I thought both the title and idea was mis-lead. My bag... I will be adding it to my DVD collection when available.
I thought that this was a good conclusion to the entire series. I never imagined that HP was defeated or even dead. What was particular touching was the ending, and how he sent his own son off to school, a reflection of the beginning. WHAT A TRIUMPH!!!!
The acting was stellar and the story line that grips you from the beginning and lets go. The SPX and action were exquisite. Even the scene during the credits, gave me the impression that a sequel is looming. I will without question want this movie in my DVD-Blu-Ray collection. I may even chose to see it twice!!!
The acting superb, and the action non-stop!! To have brought back a few of the characters from previous movies, was simply ingenious. I will add it to my DVD collection when it becomes available.
Usually my movie preference is action and full of body counts. So when a friend offered to pay my way to this movie, who could say NO. I applauded at the movie's end. The acting was stellar, sets exquisite (Westminster Abbey), and costumes perfect. I see why it swept the Oscars. This movie took me out of my comfort zone, and brought me to another genre movie - historical biography. I will add it to my DVD collection when it becomes available.
I'm a child of the sixties, and remember the Green Hornet tv series. I really went to this movie because of the hype and memory of the series. Kato character was good, but no one can beat out Bruce Lee. The main character was too goofy and silly. But because I like action and lots of it, I must admit, it delivered that - the only saving grace.
The movie is funny, but I had hoped for more. The previews drew me in, and I laughed at each cranky and hilarious situation. But I left wanting more from the actors.
I came with an open mind, but left somewhat disappointed. Not trying to demean today's actors and actresses, but there is no comparison when it comes to Liam Neeson and Laurence Olivier. The actor chosen to play Perseus is good, but Harry Hamlin is in the constellation. Special effects for the monster were rather ho-hum, but Ray Harryhausen's technique remains the winner in my book. True movie magic of the original remains unbeatable.
I've seen him in 300 and Law Abiding Citizen. Seeing him in this film, was in the beginning disturbing, but later found myself laughing and cheering for both GB and JA. Nice romatic comedy.
