I am a huge Harry Potter fan of both the books and movies. I must admit Deathly Hallows part 2 not only met my expectations, but exceeded them. There was a great balance of action and dialogue, it stuck pretty close to the book and was overall just a great movie. I was a little upset about two things; 1. They didn't show Harry use the elder wand to fix his original wand (the one Hermione broke by accident) and 2. They didn't show Harry go talk to the portrait of Dumbledore in the headmaster's office after he defeated Voldemort and I thought those were kind of important not to include. Other than that I was fully satisfied with the movie and give it the highest marks out of all 8 movies.
It's so sad to think that this is the end of an era, but it ended on the highest of highs and I can only be grateful for the time that we had with the books and movies. Words can't express how much I have loved them.
Except for the ending. The big battle at the end in Hogwarts and the funeral for Dumbledore should have been included in the movie. By not having those two key items in the movie, it fell short of being the best Potter movie ever. Other wise I think it was great and really set the stage for the final movie. If you are expecting the movie to be word for word the book, you will be disappointed...but if you enjoy the Potter movies for what they are (as a separate entity), then it is thoroughly enjoyable and a must see. I so can't wait for the next two movies and I am glad that they will be done in two, it gives us something to look forward to for the next 2 years.
Awesome!!!! The special effects were out of this world, so much so that you didn't even realize you were seeing special effects. The plot lines were good, it was action packed, suspenseful, drama with a splash of comedy thrown in for good measure. It is good for both kids and adults alike. Oh, and make sure you stay around after the credits, there is a small scene that I have just one word for...FURY! If you are a comic book fan, you will know what I am talking about. Go see IRON MAN!!!!!
