I absolutely loved this movie. I can not think of one comedy that made me laugh harder than I did at this one. Humor is not very 'clean' so to speak, so leave the kids at home and enjoy a night out. This comedy is one NOBODY should miss.
All I have to say about this movie is. DON'T see it. That very simple bit of advice is given on the basis that the movie is absolutely horrendous. It is not even close to humerous. It is a spoof gone bad.. AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS. (especially the price of a movie ticket.)
This movie was not what you would expect at all from high end movie stars George Clooney and Renee Zellweger. The plot was absolutely dry and contained no sufficient point/plot. The character development was limited to non existant. And to speak on behalf of the actors, even their performance were mediocre. I can't say that I would tell anyone else to see it or buy it. I expected more than I got back.
Not only did I waste two hours of my life but also fourty dollars at the theatre to see a very low scale version of a Hollywood comedy. Seems as though it follows the same pattern as Scary Movie yet left of the sarcasm and humor in the entire movie. The movie attempted to create a horrific story line that was not even potentially worth my time or money. How ridiculous that a movie like this was funded to be produced.. it actually makes me kind of sick. AVOID IT-- DONT EVEN WASTE MONEY WHEN IT COMES OUT ON DVD! One cent is too much to pay for this "movie".
I actually refuesed to see this movie for months because I had a bad feeling about it. HOW WRONG I WAS. This movie was excellent. It made me laugh until my stomach hurt. Ellen Page is a piece of work and the way she works the entire story is incredible. If I ever need to smile I will be sure to watch Juno with Ellen Page and Michael Cera.. never will I underestimate their talent again!
This movie wasn't at all what I expected it to be. Seems as though it was poorly directed not to mention that Hayden Christensen did not portray his best acting in this movie. The idea for the plot is good but it wasn't executed very well. Save it for DVD.
This movie was absolutely adorable AND it was not so painful for the boyfriend either. Of course it was more girly than not BUT the comedy inside of the story can be enjoyed by all. Katherine Heigl is an excellent actress and I couldn't imagine anyone else playing her role in this movie. Definetly a must see--especially for a Girls Night Out!
My boyfriend and I saw this movie, the day it came out on Valentine's. It was the the perfect choice for such an occasion. The story is beautiful, the cast is perfect. Everything about the movie was outstanding, bravo to Ryan Reynolds and Abigail Breslin, for a job well done as usual. A must see for movie goers, and hopeless romantics.
I have to admit that my boyfriend and I go to the movies at least twice a week. THis movie was not on the top of ''to sees' list. But because almost every other movie we did want to see was sold out we saw Walk Hard. I cannot begin to tell you that you need to be a certain type of mood to see this movie. I think the reason that we found it so funny was because we were in a humourous movie kind of mood. If we hadn;t been this movie would have been disasterous. We found Knocked up to be very good and in no way shape or form is this movie comparable to that one. THe humour is quite lame and suitable for 15 year old boys who have not yet matured. I did not see any of the adults 30+ laughing at this movie. The funny parts were a stretch and I quite frankly would have been embarrassed if i had taken my parents to this movie. Especially not for young children or older adults who are looking for good comedy.
